Story Creation

Writing is my life, in case you couldn’t tell from the rest of the content on this website. In addition to my freelance work, I also write fiction. Primarily, I write short stories and have a novel in progress. I’ve been published in Lunch Ticket, The Copperfield Review, Heater, and Bread for God’s Children. I write for kids and about kids. Something about the period of adolescence, that in-between stage, really intrigues me.

I’m currently getting my MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College. I’m in my last year (crunch time!). I’m also a VONA/Voices Fellow (2014) and a Andrea Davis Pinkney Chapter Book Scholarship Winner.
